"Dubai Electricity" It is considering strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the fields of renewable energy and innovation

Dubai, April 15, WAM / His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, discussed with His Excellency Almaz Tasbulat, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates ways to enhance joint cooperation, especially in the areas of renewable energy, water, and initiatives and projects of common interest.
During their meeting, which witnessed a presentation of the Authority’s pioneering experiences in the fields of clean energy, operational efficiency, and innovation, the two sides discussed investment and project opportunities and the exchange of experiences, in a way that supports the advanced economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the presence of Engineer Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President of the Business Development and Excellence Sector. Engineer Marwan bin Haider, Executive Vice President of the Innovation and Future Sector; And Dr. Yousef Al-Akraf, Executive Vice President of the Corporate Support and Human Resources Sector.
His Excellency Al Tayer stressed the importance of enhancing constructive cooperation between the Authority and the relevant authorities in Kazakhstan, expressing the Authority’s readiness to share its expertise and explore opportunities for cooperation with Kazakhstan, which has great potential in the renewable energy sector.
He touched on the most prominent projects and initiatives of the Authority and the integrated programs aimed at diversifying the energy mix in Dubai, most notably renewable and clean energy projects that support the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai, which aims to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean sources by the year 2050 at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest of its kind in one location in the world.
For his part, His Excellency Almaz Tasbulat expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen its partnership with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
