7 billion dirhams in “Sanad” revenues in 2025

Sanad, the leading global group in aerospace engineering and asset management solutions, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company PJSC, announced the achievement of unprecedented financial and operational performance, culminating in record revenues that are the highest in its history amounting to 7 billion dirhams, recording a strong annual growth of 41% compared to 2024.

This achievement was not the result of one year, but rather was the result of a long-term strategy adopted by “Sanad” for the second year in a row, through which it aimed to build an integrated global platform for the aviation sector, extending from Abu Dhabi to the world, a platform that combines aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and asset management solutions, supported by advanced infrastructure and technical capabilities that meet the growing needs of the global aviation market.

This rising path reflected the global sector’s confidence in Sanad’s business model, which was translated into obtaining several prestigious awards, including the “Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Company of the Year” award at the Aviation Business Awards, in conjunction with its participation in the Dubai Air Show last year.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sanad, Amer Siddiqui, said: “Sanad’s performance in 2025 reflects the strength of our strategy and the flexibility of our business model. We are not only achieving growth, but we are establishing a global and sustainable infrastructure that serves the aviation sector from Abu Dhabi to the world, and strengthens the emirate’s position as a pivotal player in the global aviation system.”

For his part, Managing Director and CEO of the group, Mansour Janahi, explained that this performance comes at a time when the aviation industry is witnessing major challenges in terms of the global capacity for engine maintenance, explaining that this performance reflects the confidence of engine manufacturers and more than 80 customers around the world in our services. During the year 2025, Sanad continued to enhance engine operation solutions, sign long-term partnerships, and invest in infrastructure and human competencies from Abu Dhabi, to become today an integrated global platform that is not satisfied with By meeting demand, it contributes to shaping the future of the aviation industry.”

As airlines seek to extend the operational life of their fleets, and with continued pressure on global supply chains, the demand for engine maintenance services has witnessed rapid growth, especially in the Middle East region.

In response, Sanad strengthened its operational capabilities during 2025, carrying out 230 engine maintenance operations at its centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, compared to 161 engines in the previous year.

This growth was driven by the increasing global demand for the Trent 700, V2500, LEAP and GEnx engines, as the company invested about 100 million dirhams to expand its capacity, develop its operational procedures, and enhance repair capabilities in its modern facilities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, ensuring the sustainability of growth and the reliability of the services provided.

Last year witnessed the addition of 24 new clients to Sanad’s client base, including Air Asia and Royal Jordanian, in addition to the signing of agreements with engine manufacturing companies such as Rolls-Royce and CFM, in steps that strengthen the company’s presence in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets. As a result, the futures contract book reached AED 38 billion, providing a clear view of revenue growth over the next three decades.

At the national level, Sanad entered into a strategic partnership with AMMROC, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, which contributed to increasing capacity and accelerating the pace of growth, consolidating its position as an independent and reliable global partner for more than 80 operators, lessors and airline companies around the world.

In parallel with its global expansion, Sanad has made pivotal progress in the GTF Engine Maintenance Center project in the city of Al Ain. It has signed a long-term Musataha agreement with Abu Dhabi Airports Company to develop the center, along with two testing units and facilities for future expansion within the Al Ain Aviation Industry Complex.

It also awarded a contract to design and develop two engine testing units with Safran Company, so that the center will include two units with an area of 12 x 12, with a capacity of more than 500 engines annually, and it will become the largest of its kind in the region.

The project is being developed in cooperation with Pratt & Whitney to provide advanced services for GTF engines used in new generation aircraft such as the A320neo, A220 and Embraer E2, creating high-value technical jobs and strengthening the UAE’s position in the global supply chain.
As part of its comprehensive strategy, Sanad continued to develop its asset management business, unifying engine acquisitions, engine component sales, and maintenance services within an integrated platform.

During the year 2025, the company sold about 7,000 components through 46 global locations, and signed a sales contract worth 400 million dirhams with “AirCap” to provide more than 6,000 high-demand components, which qualified it to win the “Deal of the Year for the Middle East and Africa” award in the Aviation 100 Awards.

Sanad acquired 10 engines during the year, with a plan to include 20 additional engines in 2026, and has so far invested 92 million dirhams as part of a total investment commitment of 367 million dirhams to expand its portfolio of modern engines.

Believing that human capital is the basis for any sustainable growth, Sanad continued to invest in its cadres, increasing its workforce to 855 by appointing 306 new employees by the end of 2025, a growth of 42% and a Saudization rate of 36% compared to 23.1% in 2022.

The company launched a set of qualitative initiatives to develop national talent, including attracting 30 national trainees in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, implementing a technical exchange program with Rolls-Royce in the United Kingdom, and graduating the second batch of the “Support Leaders for the Future” program in cooperation with Embry-Riddle University, in addition to launching the third batch of this program.

As a culmination of its institutional efforts, Sanad obtained the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 30414:2018 certificates, confirming its commitment to the highest standards of quality and human capital management.

As it enters 2026, Sanad is moving confidently into a new chapter of growth, building on a strong contract record, advanced infrastructure, and solid global partnerships. Thus, the company continues to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center for aviation maintenance and engineering, and consolidate its position as an influential player in the future of the global aviation industry.
