The United States denies extending the ceasefire with Iran

A senior American official told Agence France-Presse on Wednesday that the United States had not officially agreed to extend the ceasefire with Iran, following press information indicating that the administration of President Donald Trump had agreed in principle to extend the truce.

The official, who did not want to reveal his identity, said, “The United States has not officially agreed to extend the ceasefire. There is an ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran to reach an agreement.”
