The Professional League announces the harvest of 18 copies of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup

Today, the UAE Professional League announced the most prominent figures for the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Football Cup, with the start of the countdown to the final match between Al Ain and Al Wahda on May 1 at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

According to the Emirates Professional League, over the course of 18 editions, the tournament witnessed clear superiority for the Shabab Al-Ahly team, which tops the list of the most decorated clubs with 5 titles.

Al Wahda Club stands out in second place with three titles, while Al Ain, Al Jazira and Al Nasr each won two titles, while Sharjah and Ajman each succeeded in winning the title once.

Throughout its history, the tournament witnessed 755 matches, 562 of which ended in victory for one of the two teams, compared to 193 matches that ended in a draw, including 52 matches that ended without goals.

The participating teams scored 2,266 goals throughout the history of the tournament, at a rate of approximately 3 goals per match.

At the level of the knockout rounds, which witnessed the holding of 229 matches, penalty kicks emerged as a decisive factor in many confrontations, as they were used in 17 matches, and Shabab Al-Ahly is the most involved in this experience, with 7 times, succeeding in winning the first 4 attempts before losing the last 3.

Al-Jazira clubs top the list of most goals scored in the history of the tournament with 225 goals, and Shabab Al-Ahly with 215 goals, while Al-Ain and Al-Wahda are equal with 210 goals.

In terms of the number of victories, Al-Wahda tops the list with 60 victories, followed by Al-Ain with 58 victories, while Shabab Al-Ahly, Al-Jazira and Al-Wasl are equal with 55 victories each.

On the defensive front, Al-Wasl tops the list of teams with the most clean sheets with 40 matches, slightly ahead of Al-Wahda (39 matches), then Al-Nasr (38 matches).
