Al Ain and Baniyas in a decisive confrontation for the Emirates Cup title for Al-Tayara

The final match of the Emirates Volleyball Cup for the 2025-2026 season, which brings together Al Ain and Baniyas, will be held at seven o’clock this evening, and will be held in the first team hall.

The awaited summit will decide the identity of the fourth champion of the men’s category titles this season, after Al-Nasr won the Federation Cup and the League titles, while Baniyas was crowned with the Super Cup.

Baniyas reached the final after a strong journey, as it overcame Al Wasl in the quarter-finals with a score of 3-1, before beating Hatta in the semi-finals by three clean goals.

On the other hand, Al-Ain made its way to the final after its exciting victory over Shabab Al-Ahly 3-2 in the quarter-finals, before deciding to confront Al-Jazira in the semi-finals in three games to no return.

“Al-Zaeem” is looking to regain his glory in the tournament, and achieve his sixth title in history, and his first in the current season, while “Al-Samawi” is looking to benefit from the high morale he gained from winning the last Super Cup, to add a new championship to his coffers, and the third in his career with the Emirates Cup Championship after being crowned in the 2006-2007 and 2022-2023 seasons.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Volleyball Federation, Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Salman, confirmed that this final has a special character this year, as it coincides with the launch of the “Proud of the Emirates” campaign, which came as an expression of the sports community’s cohesion with the nation in light of the current circumstances, and an affirmation that sports will remain a pillar of stability and giving in the Emirates.

Al-Salman said in press statements: “This initiative is a clear message that the sports sector in the country, with its various sports and components, continues to perform its vital role without stopping, and that sports competitions are moving forward with confidence and stability, despite the challenges, in an image that reflects the strength and cohesion of the system.”

He added: “The UAE Cup final at this time carries a deeper message than just a sports competition. It is confirmation that the UAE is moving steadily in all its sectors, and that sports have been and will continue to be a part of this stability.”
