The Clearwater Police Department in the US state of Florida issued its comprehensive final report on the death of world freestyle wrestling legend Terry Bollea, known internationally as Hulk Hogan, resolving the controversy and closing the investigation file into his sudden passing in July 2025 at the age of 71 years. According to NBC News, the report, which was based on the results of an independent medical autopsy, stated that the death resulted “exclusively from a compelling natural disease,” stressing that there were no indications of criminal suspicion, physical injuries, or the effect of toxins that contributed to his death.

The report, consisting of about 70 pages, included precise and tragic details about the last moments in the life of the founder of the “Hulkamania” phenomenon, as the official documents revealed the audio recording of the emergency call (911) made by his wife, Skye Daily Hogan, as she said in a panicked tone: “My husband… it seems that he is not breathing.”
Police received a report that Hogan had suffered a cardiac arrest at 9:51 a.m. on July 24 last year at his home on El Dorado Street.
Home health aide, Dana Swinton, confirmed that she, Hogan’s wife, and occupational therapist, Justin McKamey, attempted to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).CPR) of the late star before the fire brigades arrived, but his death was officially announced at the local hospital at 11:17 am.
Silent suffering behind the legendary mask
The report shed light on the critical health condition that Hogan was suffering from away from the ring lights, as his therapist and those close to him gave statements revealing the extent of the deceased’s physical exhaustion.
Justin McKamey said: “Mr. Bollea’s health has been very poor since his last surgery. He has undergone approximately 20 to 30 different knee, hip, and back surgeries over the course of his busy career.”
For her part, his wife explained to investigators that Hogan had undergone a spinal fusion operation in the neck about 6 weeks before his death, had also previously undergone heart surgery, had been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and had received a round of chemotherapy one week before his death.
