Declared The Theater and Performing Arts Authority Opening the door for registration to form a traditional performing arts troupe; With the aim of developing the performing arts sector in the Kingdom, and enhancing its presence in ways that reflect its diversity and originality, by presenting artistic performances that combine Saudi talent in the field of traditional performing arts, by providing an integrated artistic environment that provides opportunities for training and continuous development, which contributes to refining skills and raising the quality of artistic production, in addition to providing opportunities to participate in cultural events and occasions that represent the Kingdom locally and internationally.
She indicated that the project aims to empower more than (55) male and female performers from various regions of the Kingdom, in a way that enhances the spread of traditional performing arts and ensures their sustainability and development.
Traditional Performing Arts
The authority stated that the registration stages will begin during the period from April 19 to May 23, 2026, and that the auditions will be carried out according to a timetable that includes a number of regions of the Kingdom, namely: Jeddah, Abha, Dammam, Tabuk, and Riyadh, and the auditions include men and women; With the aim of attracting talent and selecting qualified elements to join the troupe.
She stressed that joining the troupe is an advanced professional step in the practitioners’ journey, and an opportunity to contribute to highlighting the traditional performing arts with a contemporary identity that reflects the richness and diversity of the arts in the Kingdom.
