The US National Security Agency uses an Anthropic tool despite its ban

Axios reported on Sunday that the US National Security Agency is using the artificial intelligence tool (Mythos Preview) of Anthropic despite the Pentagon officially classifying the company as posing a threat to supply chains.
Axios quoted sources as saying that Mythos Preview is being used more widely within the ministry. The administration of US President Donald Trump and the CEO of Anthropic last week discussed cooperation for the first time since the dispute that broke out earlier this year between the Pentagon and the artificial intelligence company over how to use the company’s models.
The talks come amid growing concerns that Mythos, the startup’s latest model in the field of artificial intelligence, will lead to an increase in cyberattacks.
Anthropic previously said that this model is “the most capable yet of programming and tasks of artificial intelligence assistants,” referring to the model’s ability to work independently.
Experts said that his great programming abilities could give him an unprecedented ability to identify weak points in electronic security and devise ways to exploit them.
