Lebanon condemns attempts to destabilize Syria

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, on Monday, attempts aimed at destabilizing Syria.

The Ministry said, in a press statement today, that it “expresses its condemnation of the attempts aimed at destabilizing and harming public order in the Syrian Arab Republic, which were revealed by the Syrian Ministry of Interior yesterday, Sunday.”

It affirmed its “solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic,” stressing its “absolute rejection of the involvement of any Lebanese in abusing the security and territorial integrity of Syria.”

Yesterday, the Syrian Ministry of Interior said that it had thwarted a “terrorist cell” linked to the Lebanese Hezbollah.
