This came as His Highness, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Supreme Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, inspected the workflow at Dubai International Airport, the operational operations of Emirates Airlines, and the overall services provided to passengers.
The visit included an inspection of the security services at various Dubai International Airport facilities provided through the Dubai Police Operations Center, where His Highness listened to an explanation about the center’s role in securing this important vital facility, and the smart services the center provides aimed at ensuring a safe travel experience in accordance with the best international standards.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the operational operations at Dubai International Airport, and listened to an explanation of the ongoing development processes it undergoes to ensure the highest levels of efficiency due to its impact on achieving continuous flow of movement across the various airport facilities, supported by smart services that are among the most advanced in the world, and serve to speed up travel procedures and achieve higher levels of comfort for travelers.
His Highness praised the outstanding performance of all teams working at Dubai International Airport, led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in order to ensure a comfortable and safe travel experience for travelers, whether upon arrival or departure. He called on His Highness to redouble efforts to maintain the distinguished position achieved by Dubai airports, and even to rise to higher levels of excellence and leadership in setting new global standards of quality in the field of travel.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the operations of Emirates Airlines, where His Highness expressed his appreciation for the efforts of its staff, stressing the pivotal role played by the carrier under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum in connecting the world to and through Dubai, and strengthening the emirate’s position as a leading global aviation center through a network that currently extends to 123 destinations in 65 countries, as His Highness praised the level of professionalism and commitment of the pilots and crews. Hospitality, at all times and under various circumstances, appreciating their keenness to continue providing the highest quality standards in the field of air travel, which has always been associated with the name of Emirates Airlines.
His Highness also continued an explanation about the tasks of the control center for the Emirates Airlines network and the recent developments that the center, which is the beating heart of the carrier’s operational operations, has witnessed, by equipping it with the latest artificial intelligence technologies, high-precision computer vision systems, and real-time geographic maps, to proactively monitor flight movement, weather conditions, and global developments, allowing speed of response and efficient management of operations when needed, and ensuring the regularity of flight schedules of arrival and departure, in addition to ensuring the efficiency of shipping operations and movement of goods, through integrated coordination between Various departments of the carrier to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Highness expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Emirates Airlines team, praising their dedication, professional performance, and contribution to consolidating Dubai’s position as a major aviation hub in the region and the world, and their continuous endeavor to raise the quality of services provided to travelers, whether UAE citizens or residents, as well as travelers from all over the world.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was accompanied by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Hilal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Department of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, and Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Deputy Head of the State Security Service in Dubai.
It is noteworthy that Dubai International Airport achieved a record performance in the year 2025, receiving more than 95 million passengers, maintaining the title of the busiest international airport in the world for the twelfth year in a row, while the total number of flights through the airport in the same year reached 454,800 flights, an increase of 3.3% on an annual basis, which reflects the continuous growth in capacity throughout the year, and the high competitiveness of the aviation sector in the Emirate of Dubai, through a work system based on… At its core is the continuous development of capabilities with the aim of providing the best travel experience in the world.
