Shakhbut bin Nahyan participates in the Dakar International Forum for Peace and Security in Senegal

Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, participated in the work of the Dakar International Forum for Security and Peace, which was held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, with the participation of a number of international leaders, officials and experts concerned with issues of security and stability on the African continent.

The forum is a prominent international platform to discuss the current security challenges in Africa, and to review ways to enhance stability and support sustainable development paths, in light of the rapid regional and international changes.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan held a bilateral meeting with Ousmane Sonko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Senegal. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues of common interest.

Through its participation in this forum, the UAE confirms its firm commitment to supporting security and peace in Africa, and to working with its regional and international partners to enhance stability and achieve sustainable development for the peoples of the continent.
