The Federal National Council condemned, in the strongest terms, the revealed terrorist cell that harbored evil for this dear nation and sought to undermine its security and stability, stressing that such incidents only increase the cohesion, awareness, and unity of the UAE society around its wise leadership and its national institutions, and renewed our determination to confront with all determination anyone who dares to betray this nation or harm its security.
Council President Saqr Ghobash said, in a speech in which he opened the proceedings of the eighth session of the third regular session of the eighteenth legislative term, which he held, today, in Zayed Hall at the Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi: At the beginning of our session today, we take a firm national stance and affirm that this crime does not only represent an assault on the security of the state and the safety of society, but also represents a grave violation of the UAE’s legislation and laws, and a clear betrayal of the homeland that embraced these people and allowed them to Security and safety, and opened the doors to a decent life for them under a state based on justice, the rule of law, and the preservation of human dignity.
The President of the Federal National Council added: While we categorically reject this sinful criminal behavior, we affirm that the UAE, which has extended its hand in goodness and established a unique model of stability, tolerance and coexistence, will not allow any deviant thought or sinful organization to tamper with its security or undermine its gains. In this regard, we extend our greetings of appreciation and pride to our security services and the competent authorities for their high vigilance and high efficiency in exposing and thwarting this plan, which confirms the strength of our institutions, the solidity of our state, and its constant readiness to protect the homeland and preserve its achievements, stressing that the United Arab Emirates will remain, God willing, a dear and protected homeland, resistant to the advocates of chaos and extremism, steadfast in its approach to moderation, and steadfast in its commitment to security.
