Oil prices touch $100 again after ships were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz

Oil prices rose today, Wednesday, recovering from previous losses after reports of armed attacks targeting at least three container ships in $a barrel at 10:49 a.m. GMT, an increase of 73 cents, or 0.7%. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $90.26, an increase of 59 cents, or 0.7%. Both crude oil prices rose by about 3% on Tuesday.
Three Container ships At least one shot in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday. The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy detained two ships for what it described as maritime violations.
