Dubai, April 22 / WAM / ENOC Group has recorded savings in energy efficiency worth more than 478 million dirhams since 2014, while every dirham invested by the group in this field has achieved a cumulative return of about three times, coinciding with Earth Day 2026.

The group explained that since 2014, it has cumulatively avoided more than 660,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, as part of the energy and resource management strategy applied across its various operations.

Hussain Sultan Lootah, CEO of ENOC Group, said: “Earth Day” represents an important call to action and collective responsibility in confronting energy efficiency challenges. ENOC Group continues its efforts to enhance energy efficiency across all its operations, from managing energy consumption to investing in sustainable energy solutions. This commitment is based on the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE’s goals to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

The group added that the energy and resource management program contributed to reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions at the ENOC refinery, storage facilities, retail operations and headquarters, which enhanced operational efficiency and achieved cumulative financial savings.

It indicated that it held specialized discussion sessions on energy efficiency in its operational facilities, with the participation of field work teams, to enhance the practical application of energy and resource management practices.

ENOC confirmed that it is working to integrate efforts to address climate change within the governance and disclosure framework, in line with the international standards for sustainability disclosures, IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, to ensure transparency of performance and the benefit of concerned parties from data in making decisions.
