United Nations: Extreme heat forces agricultural systems to collapse

Warn common report for Food and Agriculture OrganizationFAO and World Meteorological Organization, since Severe heat waveshave become a direct threat to agricultural systems and global food security.

It called for enhancing adaptation through early warning systems and improving crops, amid expectations of worsening risks in the future.

The report stressed the importance of financial support and social protection to enhance farmers’ ability to confront climate change and ensure food security.
