Etihad Trains completes the first rail transport of ready-made vehicles for car dealerships in the Emirates

Al Masaood Motors, in cooperation with Etihad Rail Cargo Company, which specializes in freight services and is a subsidiary of Etihad Rail, carried out the first rail transport operation for car dealerships in the UAE, in a step that represents an important development in the logistics services sector. This operation included transporting a shipment of Nissan vehicles from the East Coast ports in Fujairah to the dry port in Abu Dhabi Industrial City – ICAD.

Al Masaood Automotive Company, the authorized distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault brands in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain region and Al Dhafra region, cooperated with Etihad Rail Cargo Company to implement this process, making it the first car dealer in the country to adopt train transportation to ship ready-made vehicles.

This reflects the expansion of Etihad Rail Cargo’s business to include diverse, high-value goods in addition to the transport of basic commodities, and highlights the growing role of rail transport within integrated supply chains from source to final destination.

This cooperation allowed vehicles to be transported directly from the port to their destination, enhancing efficiency and accuracy of delivery times, in a sector where punctuality and reliability are essential elements to ensure that vehicles arrive on time.
