Finally, “victory” was achieved in our stadium

Al-Nasr goalkeeper, Abdullah Al-Tamimi, expressed his happiness for his team achieving its first home victory since November 2025, after the valuable victory over Al-Jazira, with a score of 3-2, yesterday, at Al Maktoum Stadium, in the 23rd round of the Professional Football League, in the presence of about two thousand fans.

Al-Ameed’s last victory at home dates back to the eighth round of the competition, when it defeated Al-Dhafra with two clean goals, before then playing seven matches without any wins (5 draws and 2 losses), which contributed to the decline in its results during the last period.

Al-Tamimi said, in press statements: “We achieved an important victory. It has been a long time and we finally succeeded in achieving victory on our home field.” It is wonderful that this was achieved against a strong team like Al Jazira. We worked hard to make our fans happy.”

Al-Ameed had come back from a goal down in the first half to win 3-2, raising its score to 34 points in sixth place, while Al-Jazira’s score froze at 40 points in third place.

Al-Tamimi added: “Sometimes we must play smartly when we are not in possession of the ball, by getting out with the least damage, which is what we did in the first half, before we succeeded in turning the result in our favor in the second half.”

Al-Nasr’s goals were scored by Glauber Lima (47′), Ramon Merez (50′), and Chikna Doumbia (73′), while Al-Jazira’s goals were scored by Vinicius Melo (12′ and 67′).
