The Arabian Gulf receives sixth-year students from the Doctor of Medicine program with a welcome initiative coinciding with their return to take their final exams in person.

This Sunday morning, the Arabian Gulf University welcomed the sixth-year students of the Doctor of Medicine program at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, with a welcome initiative and inspiring motivational messages, coinciding with their return to campus to take their final exams in person.

The President of the University, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, along with the Vice Presidents, Deans of Colleges, and Heads of Departments, received the male and female students, welcoming their return, and monitoring their regularity in taking the in-person exams at the university headquarters, where His Excellency stressed the University’s keenness to enhance direct communication with the students, and to create a supportive and stimulating educational environment that takes into account the academic and psychological aspects, which contributes to supporting their readiness during this important stage.

The university president said: “At the Arabian Gulf University, we are keen for our students to feel that the university stands by their side, supports them in various circumstances, and provides them with a safe and stimulating educational environment that helps them focus and enhances their self-confidence as they fulfill their academic duties,” while the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Maddeen, expressed by saying: “And they returned… here nothing has changed: the same faces, the same commitment, and the same concern for their future… We are from them and for them, we remain when circumstances change… We continue for them.”

The participation of academic leaders in the reception demonstrated the university’s approach based on closeness to students and consolidating the interactive relationship between them and academic staff members, which supports the educational process and contributes to enhancing the quality of the university experience.

In the same context, the Institutional Communication Center, in partnership with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a welcome reception that included the distribution of GCC flag badges, hot drinks and sweets, in addition to panels displaying pictures of students who are about to graduate as children in their early years, and other panels that included motivational messages with sentimental and humanitarian content.

The messages presented varied in their meanings, as they called on the students to be diligent and diligent, to enhance self-confidence, to invest in the available academic opportunities, and to continue striving for excellence, including: “You do not have to be extraordinary today, it is enough that you do not give up,” and “In the midst of events, remember that building yourself on your own is the greatest investment for your future,” in addition to phrases that emphasized the value of steadfastness and psychological balance during previous periods.

This initiative embodied the Arab Gulf University’s keenness to support its students in various circumstances, and to pay attention to the humanitarian and psychological aspects in addition to the academic path, in a way that enhances their sense of belonging and prepares them to take their final exams in a supportive and encouraging environment.
