The Head of State receives a written message from the President of Kazakhstan, delivered by Abdullah bin Zayed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a written message from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, related to bilateral relations between the two countries. The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he received Yermik Kusherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sister countries were discussed, and their repercussions on the security of international navigation, energy supplies, the global economy, and regional and international peace and security.

Yermik Kusherbayev reiterated his country’s solidarity with the UAE, in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and the safety of its lands, citizens, residents and visitors.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated Yermik Kusherbayev’s visit, which embodies the depth of relations between the two countries, and an affirmation of the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan’s full solidarity with the UAE in the wake of this Iranian terrorist aggression.

The two sides reviewed all regional developments related to US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and discussed ways to strengthen the efforts of the international community to achieve sustainable peace in the region and discussed a number of issues of common interest, related to bilateral relations between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to develop prospects for cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in various fields, which reflects the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries and contributes to achieving their common aspirations towards further progress and sustainable prosperity.

The meeting was attended by Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State, HE Abdullah Ahmed Balala, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability Affairs, and HE Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Araiqi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
