The launch of the fourth session of the “Clean Energy Hackathon” in Dubai, May 18

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is organizing the fourth session of the “Clean Energy Hackathon” competition, from May 18 to 20.
Today, the Authority’s Sustainability and Innovation Center invited creative minds from various categories, including companies, innovators, university students, and experts specialized in the fields of sustainable innovations from all over the world to participate in the competition and contribute to confronting the challenges of climate change, scarcity of water resources, and global environmental issues.
The competition provides the opportunity for local and international companies, in addition to student graduation projects, to present their innovations within three main tracks, which include reducing emissions and sustainability, integrating and storing clean energy, and artificial intelligence and digitization.
The competition enhances the role of individuals and companies in anticipating and shaping the future of sustainability and clean and renewable energy, advancing the path of transformation towards a low-carbon economy, supporting the goals of global climate neutrality, and building a smarter and more sustainable world.
The winners of the competition will have exclusive opportunities to showcase their innovations during the Clean Energy Forum 2026 at the Sustainability and Innovation Center at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world, according to the independent producer system.
The winners can highlight their innovations during a special symposium within the clean energy communication series organized by the centre, in addition to effective communication opportunities with an elite group of investors, researchers and sector leaders.
