المملكة: The Kingdom stresses in the Security Council the importance of protecting international navigation and calls for the condemnation of Iranian attacks

The Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, stressed the importance of following developments in the Gulf region, especially in The Strait of Hormuz, as a vital artery for the global economy.

Ambassador Al-Wasil explained during his participation yesterday, in the Security Council ministerial session on the safety of waterways and ways to enhance the protection of international navigation, that any threat to freedom of navigation directly reflects on the stability of energy markets, supply chains, and international economic security.
