She explained that the Fund focuses, through this category, on enabling projects that contribute to raising production efficiency, improving the use of resources, and enhancing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, in addition to supporting the access of local products to markets, noting that it is working to link these projects to a broader system of multi-sector partnerships, including government agencies, the private sector, and academic institutions.
The Sustainable Impact Challenge is a national initiative that allows entities and individuals to highlight their projects implemented within the country, which provide innovative solutions to societal and environmental challenges, within a framework that enhances the quality of implementation and the sustainability of results.
For his part, Sultan Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agricultural Center, stressed that the launch of the agricultural category represents an important step towards supporting and empowering farmers in the country, and enhancing their role in developing the agricultural sector, which contributes to raising production efficiency and achieving sustainability in food supply chains.
He added that enhancing integration between the concerned authorities and expanding partnerships with the private sector contribute to supporting farmers and improving the access of their products to markets, which reflects positively on national food security.
The agricultural category aims to highlight agricultural projects implemented within the country, which contribute to improving production, rationalizing the use of resources, and enhancing environmental practices.
The challenge depends on stages that include submitting projects, public voting, and specialized review by experts, leading to honoring distinguished projects, in a way that supports their growth and expansion, as the winners will be honored during the Community Impact Summit next October.
