The International Air Transport Association is concerned about aviation fuel shortages in the summer

The head of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Willie Walsh, said that the jet fuel crisis resulting from the US-Israeli war on Iran has not yet reached the size caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, but the occurrence of a shortage during the peak summer season in the Northern Hemisphere raises concern.
He added to Reuters on Tuesday that demand remained strong around the world, but the aviation fuel shortage may affect Asia first, then Europe before Africa and Latin America, with the possibility of canceling some flights if fuel is distributed on a quota system.
