“Applied Sciences” and the Yusuf Kanoo Award seek to enhance cooperation in the fields of innovation and scientific research

The University of Applied Sciences received a high-level delegation from the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, in a visit that reflects the depth of the national partnership and the common interest in supporting the process of education, innovation and scientific research in the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the forefront of the delegation’s reception were His Excellency Professor Dr. Waheeb Al Khaja, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Hatem Al-Masry, President of the University, in the presence of the Vice Presidents.

And a number of academic and administrative officials.

The visiting delegation included Professor Mona Mubarak Kanoo, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, along with the esteemed members of the Board of Trustees. During the meeting, ways of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging experiences were discussed in a way that contributes to supporting the academic and research environment, and developing qualitative initiatives that serve students and society.

In this context, Professor Dr. Waheeb Al Khaja stressed the University of Applied Sciences’ keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation with the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, pointing out that this partnership represents a pioneering model of integration between educational and national institutions, in a way that supports the process of scientific excellence and enhances the quality of educational outcomes, in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards a knowledge-based economy.

For her part, Professor Mona Mubarak Kanoo expressed her pride in this visit, stressing that cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences represents a strategic step towards supporting young national competencies and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence, noting that the award always seeks to build effective partnerships with leading academic institutions to create a positive and sustainable impact on society.

In turn, Professor Dr. Hatem Al-Masry explained that the university attaches great importance to supporting innovation and scientific research, and continuously seeks to build fruitful cooperation relationships with leading national institutions, which contributes to developing academic programs and creating an educational environment that stimulates creativity.
