"Islamic Dubai": 635 thousand beneficiaries of 16 thousand religious lessons in about 635 mosques during the first quarter


Dubai, April 30, 2017 – The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai announced the achievement of a qualitative and growing attendance at mosque lesson programs during the first quarter of 2026.
The number of beneficiaries reached approximately 635,000 beneficiaries through the organization of approximately 16,000 religious lessons in approximately 635 mosques across the emirate, an indicator that reflects the expanding scope of the awareness-raising impact and the growing societal demand for targeted religious programs.
These results come within the framework of the strategic role played by the department in consolidating the system of moderate religious awareness and promoting societal values in line with the directives of the wise leadership and the vision of Dubai that aims to build a cohesive society based on knowledge, moderation, and strengthening national identity in a multicultural environment.
Dr. Muhammad Sahel Al Muhairi, Director of the Religious Services Department in Mosques, said that these indicators reflect the efficiency of the integrated operational model of the awareness system, which is based on systematic scientific planning that responds to the needs of society of all its categories and ensures the provision of solid legal content that addresses contemporary issues and promotes tolerant Islamic values.
He added that these efforts take place within an integrated framework based on continuous cooperation and coordination between the various competent departments in the department, which contributes to providing an integrated and distinguished experience for mosque-goers, keeps pace with their aspirations, and enhances the quality of religious services provided in order to achieve the best levels of societal impact.
Al Muhairi stressed that the department continues to develop its qualitative programs and expand its reach by employing qualified cadres and adopting modern methods of presentation and influence in a way that supports the department’s strategic goals and enhances the sustainability of the awareness impact.
Through these efforts, the department continues to consolidate the position of mosques in the development of the individual and society and enhances the presence of moderate religious discourse capable of keeping pace with the changes of the times and responding to the aspirations of society.
