The Red Sea Museum…a renewed cultural movement that enhances awareness of maritime heritage

Boost The Red Sea Museumduring the month of April, it showed its active cultural presence, presenting a diverse program that reflected its vision as a knowledge platform that combines the preservation of maritime heritage and the promotion of contemporary cultural experience, within a framework that contributes to deepening awareness of maritime identity and linking it to contexts of creativity and community interaction.
The program witnessed a package of qualitative activities that were divided between interactive workshops, artistic tours, cinematic performances, and musical evenings. Its activities began with programs directed at children, which included Educational tours and workshops in "Exploration room"In addition to experience "Little explorers in the heart of the Red Sea" Which combined interactive narrative and visual experience, which contributes to developing young people’s sense of knowledge in an innovative manner.
Enriching the artistic experience
In the context of enriching the artistic experience, the museum organized specialized tours and workshops, the most prominent of which are: "Sea of Civilizations: A Journey of Line"which reviewed the aesthetics of manuscripts and the journey of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to "Drawing Tour: Our Living Heritage" Which was launched in the historic corridors of Jeddah, presenting a visual experience that reflects the interaction of art with place and memory.
The museum hosted a cinematic screening of the film "Sublime"which presented an inspiring human narrative that embodies willpower and challenge, within an approach that links the seventh art with human values, and enhances the presence of cinema as an influential cultural tool.
The month’s activities were concluded with an evening "Sesame night"which revived the songs of the sea and the songs of sailors, in a musical scene that inspired the spirit of the coast, embodying the depth of the connection between art and heritage.
Archaeological Discoveries
This cultural movement comes in parallel with the continuation of the temporary exhibition. "Sunken Treasures: The Maritime Heritage of the Red Sea" In a building "The font door" Historical, which highlights archaeological discoveries that reflect the history of navigation and cultural exchange, as part of efforts that contribute to transforming maritime heritage into sustainable contemporary knowledge.
