The Authority confirmed that it is working on implementing the experience of the initiative in preparation for expanding it on other roads once it achieves its desired goals, noting that it represents an advanced step towards creating a different driving experience that improves the services provided to the guests of God, and contributes to improving the urban and aesthetic landscape of the entrances to the Holy Capital.
Engineering Solutions
It is expected that the results of this initiative will reflect positively on traffic safety indicators, to form a sustainable model in employing innovative engineering solutions to serve Those who visit the Two Holy Mosques and ensure their safety.
The General Authority for Roads is working to develop research and practical experiments based on its role as the government agency supervising and regulating the road sector in the Kingdom, and in line with the objectives of the Road Sector Program aimed at encouraging innovation, as this sector represents a basic and enabling pillar of the Hajj and Umrah sector.
