Parkin signs a multi-year agreement with Emaar to deploy smart control systems powered by artificial intelligence

Parkin Company PJSC (“Parkin” or the “Company”), the largest provider of public parking facilities and services in the Emirate of Dubai, announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with Emaar Malls, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC. The agreement aims to provide parking control services in a group of leading commercial destinations affiliated with Emaar in Dubai.
Under this agreement, Parkin will provide specialized monitoring services in “Dubai Mall,” “Dubai Hills Mall,” and “Marina Mall,” with a focus on ensuring the proper use of parking lots designated for people of determination, improving traffic flow, and enhancing the level of utilization of parking facilities.
This partnership confirms Parkin’s expansion into the busiest commercial destinations, and consolidates its position as a reliable provider of smart mobility solutions and parking compliance services in Dubai.
The project will focus on protecting vehicle parking lots designated for people of determination, and ensuring that these vital facilities remain available only to those who deserve them.
Parkin will deploy its infrastructure of automatic plate recognition cameras in these designated parking lots, and the smart monitoring system supported by artificial intelligence will automatically scan the vehicle’s registration plate to verify the presence of a valid permit for people of determination. If a valid permit is not identified, a notification of the potential violation is sent to the Parkin inspector in the control room for review and, based on the assessment, a fine notice is issued where necessary.
A specialized employee from the Parkin control team will communicate with the owner of the registered vehicle to urge him to immediately remove the vehicle from the designated parking lot.
To reduce unintentional instances of parking in these situations, Parkin will send an SMS to the registered vehicle owner, including a motion request, with a short grace period to comply.
In addition to camera-based monitoring technologies, Parkin will conduct dedicated field inspections across the three sites to ensure comprehensive compliance with Dubai’s parking regulations.
In his statement on this subject, Engineer Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said: “This partnership ensures that people of determination have smooth and barrier-free access to the parking lots designated for them, which reflects compliance with regulations while at the same time achieving a real societal benefit. Integrating our advanced AI-powered plate recognition technologies with field inspections allows for an integrated and effective model of supervision. Moreover, this agreement reflects our strategy to diversify Parkin’s services by leveraging our strengths in technology, control and solutions.” Mobility, with the aim of creating value-added partnerships that go beyond the scope of traditional public parking operations.”
For his part, Ahmed Al Matrooshi, CEO of Emaar Properties, said: “This partnership reflects our firm commitment to improving the visitor experience across our destinations, and ensuring easy access for all. Through cooperation with Parkin, we emphasize the importance of allocating parking for people of determination, and promote the most efficient and considerate use of our facilities. Employing smart technologies such as artificial intelligence-supported monitoring also helps us maintain the highest standards in our destinations, and provide a more comprehensive and organized environment.”
