Latifa Bint Muhammad: Exhibition "Made in UAE" It enhances the country’s position as a global center for advanced industry and an innovation-based economy

DUBAI, 6 MAY / WAM / Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited today the “Made in the Emirates” exhibition in its fifth session, which is held at the ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi and hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, ADNOC, and Al Emad Holding Company, and organized by the ADNEC Group.

Her Highness’s tour included a number of platforms and pavilions participating in the exhibition, including the “Dar Al-Sinaa Museum” platform, the “Al-Ghadeer” platform, and the “Advanced Technology Research Council”, in addition to the platforms for innovative youth, “Theeb Motors”, the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and the Emirates Food Industries Company, where Her Highness was briefed on the latest innovations, industrial and technological solutions, and national initiatives aimed at supporting the local manufacturing system and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirati product. Empowering national and youth competencies in various vital sectors.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the rapid qualitative development witnessed by the “Make in the UAE” exhibition, and the integrated national movement it reflects that strengthens the UAE’s position as a global center for advanced industry and an economy based on innovation and knowledge, stressing that what the country is achieving today in this vital sector embodies the vision of the wise leadership aimed at building a sustainable and diversified economy, based on human empowerment, investment in technology, and stimulating future industries.

Her Highness said: The “Made in the Emirates” exhibition represents an inspiring national model that combines industrial ambition, innovation and creativity, and reflects the scale of the qualitative transformations that the UAE is leading to consolidate its position as a global center for advanced industries, and a pioneering platform for developing future solutions that contribute to supporting national economies and enhancing their competitiveness.

Her Highness added: What we are witnessing today in the broad presence of national companies, entrepreneurs, innovators and Emirati youth confirms that the UAE is not only building an industrial sector, but is establishing an integrated development system that invests in minds and competencies, and transforms creative ideas into projects and products with a sustainable economic and knowledge impact, in line with the country’s vision towards a more flexible, sustainable and globally competitive economy.

Her Highness also noted the importance of the exhibition in promoting the culture of innovation and local production, and opening new horizons for national competencies and emerging, small and medium-sized companies, stressing that empowering young people and involving them in shaping the future of industrial sectors represents an essential pillar in the comprehensive development process led by the UAE.

Present alongside Her Highness were Her Excellency Maryam Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, His Excellency Hoda Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, and Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director-General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

It is noteworthy that the “Make in the Emirates” exhibition, in its fifth session, includes more than 1,245 exhibiting companies within 12 industrial sectors, and aims to localize the manufacture of about 5,000 products in the UAE, while small and medium-sized companies represent 61% of the total participation, in a step that reflects the growing role of the industrial sector in supporting the national economy and promoting the country’s sustainable development goals.
