I believe that the Ukraine conflict is coming to an end

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that he believes that the conflict in Ukraine is nearing its end.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 sparked the most serious crisis in relations between Russia and the West since the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, when many feared that the world was on the brink of nuclear war.

Putin told reporters about the war with Ukraine, “I think the matter is coming to an end.”

The Financial Times reported on Thursday that European Union leaders were preparing for possible talks.

In response to a question about whether he was ready to enter into talks with the Europeans, he said that his favorite person was former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.

The Kremlin said last week that it was up to European governments to take the first step because they were the ones who broke off contact with Moscow in 2022 after the start of the war.
