On behalf of the Head of State… Noura Al Kaabi attends the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Costa Rica

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, attended the inauguration ceremony of Laura Fernandez, President of the Republic of Costa Rica.

Noura Al Kaabi conveyed to President Fernandez the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and their Highnesses’ congratulations and wishes to the government and people of Costa Rica for continued progress and prosperity.

For her part, President Fernandez conveyed, Noura Al Kaabi, her greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office, and her wishes to the government and people of the UAE for further progress and development.

Noura Al Kaabi also met with a number of officials, including Francisco Gamboa Soto, First Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Manuel Tovar Rivera, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, Nogue Acosta Khaen, President of the Sovereign People’s Party, and Father Sergio Valverde Espinosa, founder and director of the Society of the Holy Spirit.

Noura Al Kaabi stressed the UAE’s commitment to continuing to deepen the bilateral partnership with the Republic of Costa Rica. This year marks the sixteenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Al Kaabi highlighted the important steps achieved in the main areas of cooperation, noting the conclusion of fifteen agreements and memorandums of understanding, especially the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, which forms the foundation of a strong and growing economic relationship between the UAE and the Republic of Costa Rica.

She also stressed that bilateral relations go beyond the areas of trade and investment to include solid humanitarian and cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries.

Al Kaabi said: “The UAE is proud of the strong, well-established, principled partnership it has built with the Republic of Costa Rica over the past sixteen years,” adding: “The UAE looks forward to continuing to work closely with the Republic of Costa Rica in order to achieve common goals and explore new horizons of cooperation, for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.”
