Kuwait summons the Iranian ambassador and presents him with a protest note after Revolutionary Guard members infiltrated Boubyan Island.

Today, Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by Ambassador Hamad Suleiman Al-Mashaan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, summoned the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kuwait, Muhammad Totonji, where he was handed a protest note following an armed group of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard infiltrating Bubiyan Island and clashing with the Kuwaiti Armed Forces.

According to the official Kuwait News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister renewed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of this hostile act, calling on the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately and unconditionally stop such actions, and holding it fully responsible for what this represents as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and a grave violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026.

He also stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to defend itself, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, and to take what it deems appropriate to protect its sovereignty and the security of its people and those residing on its lands.
