A driver hits 3 women and runs away…and Ras Al Khaimah Police arrest him within 5 hours

The Traffic and Patrols Department at the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters, represented by the Traffic Investigation and Control Section, and in cooperation with the Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station and the Criminal Investigation Department, arrested an Asian driver who fled the scene of a traffic accident that injured three women, within five hours of the accident.

Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Saman, said that the operations room received a report at 1:30 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, stating that three women of Asian nationalities had been involved in a traffic accident in the Al Jazeera Al Hamra area, and that the driver involved had fled the scene of the accident.

He added that the competent authorities immediately moved to the site of the accident, and a joint work team was formed to reach the fleeing driver. The team’s efforts resulted in identifying him and arresting him only five hours after the accident occurred, indicating that the driver was referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him.
