The UAE ranks first in the world in 279 indicators in the global competitiveness reports in 2025

The Director of the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, Hanan Mansour Ahli, confirmed that the UAE ranked first globally in 279 indicators in the global competitiveness reports for the year 2025, an increase of 56 indicators from 2024. The UAE also came among the top 5 countries in the world in 525 indicators, and achieved an increase of 81 indicators over the results of 2024, and came among the top 10 countries globally in 738 indicators in general. 2025, achieving an increase of 77 indicators over 2024.
She stated, today, Wednesday, during today’s Federal National Council session, to discuss the government’s policy regarding regulating the statistical sector and open data and enhancing the country’s competitiveness, that the country’s statistical sector has achieved many achievements, including the Unified Emirates Numbers Project, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, as a strategic national project to unify official data and statistics in the country, and the National Platform for Statistical Data, which is a national platform supported by artificial intelligence that provides accurate, real-time and reliable data that supports decision-making. It enhances the state’s readiness for future changes, and the Rasmi mark, which is a certification mark for national data and statistics that enhances community confidence and supports spreading statistical awareness through visual and interactive content, in addition to the data index, which includes 120 data specialists representing 35 federal government agencies in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office to support the quality of government data in the data and digital government axis of the “Adaa” system.
She pointed out that the achievements also include strengthening the frameworks of competitiveness and bilateral cooperation between the Emirates and countries of the world through the statistical portfolio for bilateral data, reducing reliance on traditional surveys, enhancing digital integration efforts by relying on modern technologies and digital platforms, and launching the unified statistical portfolio, which is an integrated model for the governance of local and federal data, in addition to issuing statistical reports and publications that cover various economic sectors.
Ahly indicated that the partners of the national statistical system from data producing entities include decision-makers, policy makers, local statistical centers, international organizations, regional, and global statistical agencies, the private sector, the academic community, and those who benefit from the data.
She said: “The national statistical system is based on national trends that include the UAE Vision 2071, the We Are the Emirates 2031 Vision, national priorities, the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation, and the UAE Strategy for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence,” noting that the roadmap for statistical work in the country includes 11 national committees and councils and 3 regional and global committees.
