Sultan Al Qasimi witnesses the graduation ceremony of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed this morning the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of reciters who have been certified by the Holy Qur’an Academy in Sharjah, numbering 311, and His Highness announced the completion of the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation, and launched three new encyclopedias, in the University City Hall in Sharjah.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah kindly signed the latest edition of the “Rhetorical Interpretation” encyclopedia after its completion. It is the first encyclopedia that specializes in the rhetoric of the Holy Qur’an in detail. The number of its volumes reached 68, and work on it extended for about four years.
His Highness also signed the launch of the “Qur’anic Word” encyclopedia project, which studies every word of the Holy Qur’an semantically and contextually. The encyclopedia will highlight the uniqueness of the selection in its material, language, derivation, terminology, and overall concept in the Holy Qur’an.
His Highness also signed the first copies of the third encyclopedia of the curriculum for singling out readings, for the recitation of Asim al-Kufi, narrated by Shu’bah and Hafs from the Shatibiya road, which has 22 volumes, and the fourth encyclopedia of Ibn Kathir with 17 volumes, in addition to appendices to the trees of narrations, which are a visual summary of the origins of the narration, and the Qur’an explaining the narration, in which 63 scholars were written.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he expressed his happiness with the completion of the “Rhetorical Interpretation” project and the launch of new parts of the rest of the encyclopedias that the complex is working on. He praised the great efforts made in all Sharjah institutions, which work according to a systematic plan to make Sharjah a land of science and knowledge, pointing to the importance of integrating the basic structures of any scientific renaissance, from all architectural, artistic, scientific, practical and legislative aspects, which is what Sharjah is keen on when establishing any new institution. For more than 50 years.
His Highness revealed the start of work on establishing “Dar Al-Hadith” in the University City of Sharjah, an institution that will be full of hadith science, and the house will grant certificates in studies of the Noble Hadith, to be alongside the Holy Qur’an Academy and Al-Qasimia University. His Highness pointed out his personal keenness to establish institutions specialized in the Arabic language and Quranic and Islamic sciences, and the integration of its scientific, urban and urban vision, which contributes to giving an influential aesthetic character to the place, in addition to the knowledge that it presents there. His Highness said: “Sharjah has beautiful buildings that delight onlookers and educate and advance knowledge and worship in these three facilities.”
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah addressed the importance of knowledge and worship at a young age so that the child grows up on them, recalling His Highness during his studies at Al Qasimia School, and how his father took care of him and his teacher, in addition to the influence of his teacher in instilling knowledge, values and skills, including the beauty of calligraphy in writing.
His Highness referred to Sharjah’s experience in supporting science and the Arabic language in African countries, pointing out that students from Africa are the majority who want to study at Al Qasimia University, and after their graduation, they work to establish educational centers for the Arabic language and the Holy Quran in their countries, which reflects the success of this experience.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah expressed his happiness with Sharjah’s support for science through huge encyclopedias, some of which have been completed and some of which are being prepared, such as the comprehensive Arabic encyclopedia, which will include all the various sciences mentioned in the Arabic language. His Highness addressed the publication he is working on, “The Universe and My Many People,” which is a major project that will include the history of the universe since its formation and the histories of all previous nations.
His Highness concluded his speech, saying: “I do not write to point out the faults of others. I write to learn lessons from them for generations. We are reviving the nation just as God Almighty intended, and we display faith, not just Islam.”
The ceremony began with clear verses from the Holy Qur’an, read by student Farhan bin Abdul Latif, narrated by Al-Bazzi on the authority of Ibn Katheer Al-Makki, after which the President of the Holy Qur’an Academy in Sharjah, Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al-Tunaiji, delivered a speech in which he expressed his sincere thanks and great gratitude to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness’s unlimited support for serving the Holy Qur’an and its people, thus strengthening the Academy’s position as a unique global educational model in serving the Book of God.
Al-Taniji discussed the strategy and projects of the Holy Qur’an Academy, saying: “The Academy is currently working on launching its new strategy 2027-2029, which aims to digitize scientific Qur’anic projects to make it easier for students of Quranic studies and science of readings in universities around the world, with the aim of benefiting from them, and building a link between Qur’anic sciences and the contemporary needs of students of science, and providing interactive educational and research programs that enable researchers and students of various studies in the Qur’anic sciences, the Arabic language, and reading sciences to access them without cost and trouble.”
The President of the Holy Qur’an Academy pointed to the achievements of the international Sharjah Electronic Reciter, through the “Fruit of the Thumrah” project, as the project began with 111 students from the Academy’s graduates, who transferred the scientific and educational impact to six continents in 51 countries, and the number of beneficiaries reached 568 students, and the number of licenses granted by them reached 439 Qur’anic licenses until the end of 2025, pointing out that the Academy seeks to establish a graduates’ association, concerned with following up Graduate students, evaluate their academic performance, and enhance communication between them.
At the end of his speech, Al-Tunaiji pointed out that the Academy launched the Citizen Reciter Project, which is concerned with attracting and qualifying national cadres of memorizers of the Holy Qur’an practically in Quranic recitations and its sciences, and enabling them to begin reciting, in a way that enhances the sustainability of national competencies in the Holy Qur’an and its sciences. This is in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet, Al Qasimia University, and the Holy Quran Radio and Channel. The number of Emirati students registered in the Sharjah Electronic Reciter has reached 47 male and female students, and the number of Emirati reciters in it has reached 11 male and female reciters.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the audience watched a visual material about the “Fruit of the Thumrah” project, which aims to prepare and qualify graduates of the academy to be teachers of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, reciters of Qur’anic recitations, and able to transmit this knowledge faithfully and with precision to their communities in various countries of the world.
The project is based on transforming the outcomes of Quranic education from the stage of reception to the stage of empowerment, and a number of graduates of the academy who founded a number of centers in different countries spoke in the visual presentation.
His Highness and the audience listened to the reading of verses from the Holy Qur’an, recited by Imam Asim al-Kufi, with the narrations of Hafs and Shu’bah from the Shatibiya road, read by the student Issa Abdullah Adam, a student at Al Qasimia University, in reference to the fruitful cooperation between the complex and other educational and scientific institutions.
The Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah and head of the scientific team for the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation, Dr. Emhamed Safi Al-Mustaghanemi, gave a speech in which he congratulated His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on the completion of the encyclopedia, reviewing the stages of the encyclopedia’s work, and the challenges that the team faced to see the light of day with 68 volumes, each part having more than 800 pages.
Mosteghanemi discussed the most important features of the encyclopedia by mentioning the occasions that connect each surah with its sister, and the occasions that unite the verse with its counterpart, in addition to mentioning the overall general meaning of the Qur’anic verse, with an explanation of the meanings of the words and their connotations. The Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation is distinguished from other encyclopedias and books in the rhetorical clarification of each word of the Qur’anic verse, whether it is a verb, a noun, or a letter, while clarifying its precise position among its sisters. Its arrangement, harmony, and harmony with its sisters are the basis of the desired rhetorical analysis.
The Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy pointed out that the encyclopedia is distinguished by clarifying some of the secrets of verbal similarities, and explaining the moral and semantic differences between Qur’anic words, stressing that it is considered an encyclopedia of encyclopedias, because it includes the best sciences and interpretations of the language and the Holy Qur’an, and eminent specialist scholars, numbering 68 scholars from all over the world, worked on it.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Holy Qur’an Council in Sharjah, handed over the Qur’anic licenses to the students of the sixth batch of graduates of the academy, with the chain of transmission linked to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, congratulating them on obtaining the Qur’anic license and wishing them success.
