The President and Prime Minister of India discuss strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed…Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, the various paths of cooperation and opportunities to enhance it within the framework of the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” and the “Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement” between the UAE and India to serve their mutual interests.

This came during a session of talks held by His Highness with the Prime Minister of India, who is on an official visit to the UAE, and the two sides affirmed their mutual keenness to continue joint work to strengthen their development partnership and expand its horizons in a way that brings sustainable growth and prosperity to their peoples.

His Highness and Modi reviewed the qualitative development achieved in the course of the two countries’ relations, especially in the fields of economy, investment, energy, space and food security, in addition to technology, artificial intelligence and other fields that support their mutual development priorities.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern, most notably the developments taking place in the Middle East region, with their serious repercussions on regional and international security and peace, in addition to their effects on the security of international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.

The Prime Minister of India renewed his condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilians, civilian facilities and infrastructure in the UAE, as they constitute a violation of the state’s sovereignty and international laws and norms.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of ministers and officials. It was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of India, which includes a number of Ministers and officials.
