A double blow for Al-Nashama before the 2026 World Cup

The Jordanian national team received a double blow before its first participation in the 2026 World Cup finals.
The Nashama team is in the tenth group of the 2026 World Cup, which includes the teams of Argentina, Algeria, and Austria.
The Jordanian Football Association announced that player Issam Al-Sumairi suffered a tear in the Achilles tendon in his left foot.
Issam Al-Sumairi’s injury occurred during his individual training with the Jordanian national team, and thus he was absent from the World Cup.
Nashama national team coach Jamal Salami also announced the absence of Tamer Bani Odeh from the World Cup due to his lack of full recovery from his injury.
It is noteworthy that the 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, from June 11 to July 19.
