Maryam Al Rumaithi: Support "Mother of the Emirates" Establish an extended process of giving to protect the family and society

Abu Dhabi, May 15 / WAM / Her Excellency Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family Development Foundation, confirmed that the family represents the basic pillar in building a cohesive and stable society, as it plays a pivotal role in instilling authentic values, strengthening national identity, and consolidating a culture of responsibility and community cohesion.

Maryam Al Rumaithi said on the occasion of International Families Day, which falls on May 15 of each year, that the Family Development Foundation, over the course of 20 years, has adopted a solid approach in supporting family stability and enhancing community cohesion, through an integrated system of specific programs and initiatives aimed at empowering the family and improving their quality of life, keeping pace with the aspirations of society, and contributing to building a more stable and cohesive family environment.

She stressed that this occasion coincides with the Foundation’s celebration of the twentieth anniversary of its founding, a process during which it strengthened its role in supporting the family, empowering it, and consolidating its stability, through specific programs and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and community cohesion, especially the category of senior citizens to which it pays special attention, through initiatives supporting their active participation and improving the quality of their lives, based on its belief that senior citizens represent the basis of the strength of society and the sustainability of its inherent values.

Her Excellency praised the pivotal role and wise directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Emirates), President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, who established, with her humanitarian vision, a unique national model that made the family a focus of development and societal stability, and established a culture of caring for and empowering people at various stages of their lives, stressing that Her Highness’s support constitutes an extension of an inspiring national journey in the service of the family and society.
