Sharjah Training and Development Center launches program activities "Strategic business leadership" In Spain

Pamplona (Spain) on May 15 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by its Sharjah Training and Development Center, launched the activities of the “Strategic Business Leadership” program in Spain as part of an academic and field tour aimed at enhancing the leadership skills of national cadres, exchanging global experiences, and anticipating the future of business and innovation.
The program includes a visit to the University of Navarra to learn about the latest global practices in building future leaders.
The tour comes as an extension of the strategic partnership that the Center brings together with the University of Navarra, one of the most prominent and leading European academic institutions in the fields of management, communication and applied scientific research, within the framework of the Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to translate academic cooperation agreements into innovative programs with a tangible impact in developing human resources and building institutional leadership capable of facing the challenges of the rapidly changing global landscape.
In its current version, the program witnesses broad and active participation from elite leaders and affiliates representing a number of government agencies and institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, including the Sharjah Housing Department, the Public Works Department, the Central Finance Department, the Planning and Survey Department, the Sharjah National Oil Corporation, the Sharjah Social Security Fund, the Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, and the Department of Statistics and Community Development.
The diversity and level of institutional participation in the program reflects the government’s broad interest in developing leadership competencies and establishing a culture of strategic planning in accordance with the highest international standards across the emirate’s various sectors.
Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General of the Support Services Sector at the Sharjah Chamber, confirmed that the launch of the qualitative program activities at the University of Navarra embodies a well-established approach followed by the Sharjah Chamber in investing in the human element as it is the first pillar of any successful and sustainable development model, noting that the design of the program is based on the principle of combining knowledge rooting and field practice, which allows participants to gain a practical understanding of leading international experiences in addition to theoretical insight.
She added that getting acquainted with academic and research environments at the level of the University of Navarra contributes to enriching the leadership and institutional thought of the participants and enables them to adopt the best international practices and adapt them in a way that suits the nature of the government and private work environments in the UAE, ensuring the advancement of the work system and achieving sustainable excellence.
For her part, Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Sharjah Training and Development Center, explained that the “Strategic Business Leadership” program represents an advanced knowledge platform that aims to build leadership competencies through rigorous scientific curricula, noting that the visit program heralds exceptional interactive outcomes as well as forming a bridge to consolidate international academic partnerships and open channels of cooperation and exchange of experiences and knowledge with one of the most prestigious Spanish universities.
She added that the Sharjah Training and Development Center continues to design and implement qualitative training programs that contribute to preparing exceptional leaders who possess the latest innovation tools, strategic planning skills, good governance, and the ability to make decisions based on data and knowledge.
The program included an exploratory visit during which the delegation learned about the distinguished academic and research experience of the University of Navarra, as well as interactive sessions and specialized discussions presented by a group of experts and academics at the university that focused on the latest global trends in management and leadership decision-making.
The participants discussed a number of vital topics, most notably strategic leadership methods in complex environments, mechanisms for consolidating institutional innovation, principles of financial sustainability and their tools in decision-making, and ways to develop institutional competencies to keep pace with the requirements of the new economy, within the framework of exchanging experiences and enhancing knowledge cooperation between the Emirati and Spanish sides.
The “Strategic Business Leadership” program in Spain continues through a series of workshops, field visits and specialized academic sessions to ensure that participants achieve the maximum possible benefit before the program concludes.
