Severe crowding prompts Swatch to cancel the launch of Audemars Piguet watches

The intense crowding at the international Swatch watch stores in both the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates caused the cancellation of an event dedicated to the launch of the luxury Audemars Piguet watch collection.

The public and fans of Swatch watches began flocking to the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates since midnight, at a time when Swatch sales officials had previously confirmed that sales would begin between 7 and 8 a.m. today, Saturday, May 16.

The intense crowding prevented the opening, and security services were forced to intervene, to preserve the safety of the public.
