"Seven Dogs" To the Guinness World Record for the largest explosion in the history of cinema


Seven Dogs entered the Guinness World Records after achieving a new world record for the largest quantity of explosives used in one scene, in addition to recording the largest cinematic explosion ever.

The film makers revealed the behind-the-scenes of the execution of the scene, stressing that they faced an exceptional challenge to reach this unprecedented achievement.

Breaking the Record

The equipment used in filming included 325 cartridges of High explosive nitrum, 25 fuel tanks, two tons of bentonite, 159 instantaneous electric detonation capsules, in addition to 4 kilometers of explosive fuses, 21,200 liters of gasoline, in addition to 3 40-foot trailer trucks, and 4 5-ton trucks.

The film was able to break the previous record for the largest amount of explosives in a movie scene, which amounted to 136.4 kilograms, after “7 Dogs” recorded 405.85 kilograms of explosives.

The film also exceeded the previous record for the largest explosion in the history of cinema, recorded in the name of one of the James Bond films, at 68.47 tons, after “7 Dogs” achieved a huge explosion with a power of 170.7 tons.
