"Powers" It raises the UAE’s tally to 39 medals in the Gulf Games in Doha

Doha, 17 May / WAM / The UAE delegation raised its tally to 39 various medals in the competitions of the Fourth Gulf Games “Doha 2026”, with 7 gold medals, 10 silver and 22 bronze, in a new confirmation of the strength of the Emirati participation and the diversity of achievements in various sports.

Yesterday’s competitions witnessed a remarkable brilliance for the UAE champions, after the athletics team added 4 new medals to the delegation’s tally, as Salma Al Marri won the gold medal in the women’s hammer throw competition after recording 52.63 meters, while Mahra Abdul Rahim won the silver medal in the women’s 400 meters hurdles race with a time of 1:02.76 minutes.

Moaz Fawzi won the bronze medal in the men’s 400 meter steeplechase race with a time of 58.04 seconds, while Alia Al Muhairi won the bronze medal in the women’s 3000 meter steeplechase race with a time of 12:08.73 minutes, so that the athletics team continued its strong presence on the Gulf podiums.

In the snooker competitions, our national team player, Mohammed Shehab, won the bronze medal, while the UAE bowling team added a new bronze medal in the team competitions.

For his part, Musa Al Balushi, Secretary General of the UAE Fencing Federation, expressed his pride in the outstanding results achieved by the national fencing team during its participation in the tournament, which witnessed it being crowned with 7 colored medals, one gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

Al Balushi stressed that this achievement reflects the continuous development witnessed by the sport of fencing in the Emirates, and embodies the fruit of the great work and efforts made by the male and female players, in addition to the technical and administrative staff during the preparation period for the tournament.

He thanked the national team players for the honorable performance and high fighting spirit they showed in the competitions, praising the great role of the technical and administrative staff in creating the appropriate environment to achieve these positive results.
