Dubai Roads and its partners draw a roadmap that enhances mobility, sustainability and quality of life
Dubai, May 18 / WAM / The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has stressed the importance of strengthening partnership and cooperation between government agencies and private sector companies, in a way that supports the Authority’s priorities and enhances its readiness for the future, and contributes to developing the transport and communications system and keeping pace with the rapid developments in the Emirate of Dubai.
This came during the annual Partners Council meeting, which was organized by the Authority at its Center for Mobility Research and Innovation at the University of Birmingham in Dubai Academic City, with the participation of 15 government agencies and 8 entities from the business sector in the UAE, along with 48 people from the partners, external experts, and representatives of the Authority’s sectors and institutions.
Mona Al Osaimi, Executive Director of the Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector at the Authority, said: “The Authority is keen to expand and develop the base of its partners from the public and private sectors. The current council is an extension of the Authority’s efforts to consolidate the culture of institutional partnership after it moved from focusing on exchanging knowledge to enhancing awareness of partnerships and transforming them into commitments with a tangible and sustainable impact through joint, implementable pioneering initiatives that support the strategic direction of the Emirate of Dubai.”
Al-Osaimi explained that the organization of the Council aims to strengthen and develop joint efforts with partners, identify opinions and priorities, and enhance communication channels in a way that contributes to achieving the strategic objectives of the Authority, and enhances integration in their implementation to ensure global leadership in easy and sustainable mobility.
The Council included interactive working sessions during which partners and representatives of the Authority discussed five main topics, including integration and innovative mobility, sustainability, customer happiness, health, safety and security, and readiness for the future.
