Abdullah bin Zayed meets with the German Foreign Minister in Berlin

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Johann Wadewohl, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, during a working visit by His Highness to Berlin.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region and the repercussions of the treacherous Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilian sites and facilities in the UAE using missiles and drones.

The discussions touched on the serious consequences of these terrorist attacks on the security of international maritime navigation, energy supply chains, and the stability of the global economy, and they addressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to protect sea lanes and ensure the smooth flow of global trade.

The meeting also discussed the treacherous terrorist attack that resulted in a fire in an electric generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region, as a result of a drone attack, without recording any injuries or any impact on radiation safety levels.

Johan Vadevol affirmed his country’s solidarity with the UAE and its condemnation of these treacherous terrorist attacks, while His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the German positions in support of the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.

His Highness also stressed the depth of the strategic relations between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Germany, noting the common keenness to strengthen the paths of bilateral cooperation in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and brings more goodness and prosperity to their people.

The meeting was attended by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State, and Ahmed Wahib Al Attar, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
