المملكة: Hajj season: more than 70,000 vehicles cross the roads leading to Mecca

You registered General Authority of Roads More than 70 thousand vehicles crossed through Roads leading to Mecca, as part of operational and organizational efforts aimed at facilitating the movement of the pilgrims during Hajj season, and increasing the efficiency of movement across the road network in various directions leading to The Holy Capital.
The authority explained that the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road topped the roads in terms of the number of crossing vehicles with 24,609 vehicles, followed by the Taif – Mecca Road via Al-Sail Al-Kabeer with 11,684 vehicles, then the Medina – Mecca Al-Mukarramah Road with 9,578 vehicles.
The roads showed that the Mecca – Taif (Aqabat Al Hada) road witnessed crossings. 7,642 vehicles.
While the number of vehicles crossing the Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Jeddah (Bahra) Road reached 6,935 vehicles, the direct Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Jeddah Road reached 3,056 vehicles, and the Al-Laith Road 13,430.
Continuing Road Readiness
The General Authority for Roads confirmed its continued field and operational readiness on the roads leading to the Holy Sites, by monitoring traffic movement and raising the level of safety and services provided. For the guests of God, which contributes to the smooth movement and comfort of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
