Sharjah Municipality exempts parking from fees, issues night work permits, and extends park hours during Eid Al Adha

The Sharjah City Municipality announced a package of comprehensive service decisions and regulations on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, in line with its ongoing efforts to provide comfort and luxury to the emirate’s population and visitors, and to regulate the flow of work in various vital sectors during the holiday days.
The facilitation package comes at the forefront of exempting users of public parking lots in the Emirate of Sharjah from fees, starting from Wednesday, May 27, until Friday, May 29 of this year, with the exception of this decision: “smart parking lots and public parking areas subject to fees throughout the week and official holidays, which the public can infer through the blue information signs spread in those areas.”
The municipality announced the start of issuing permits to operate after midnight for commercial establishments during the days of Eid al-Adha, extending from May 27 to 29, to support commercial activity in the city, noting that this permit does not include building contracting companies, calling on establishments wishing to benefit from the service to submit their applications through the official website of the municipality.
With regard to recreational facilities, the municipality has prepared a plan to receive visitors in the city’s parks during the same period from May 27 to 29, as Sharjah National Park and Rolla Park open their doors continuously from 7:30 am until 12 midnight, while all other parks receive visitors in two periods, the first in the morning starting from 6:00 am until 1:00 pm, and the second evening period begins at 4:00. In the afternoon and continues until 12 midnight.
On the other hand, the municipality announced the closure of all its medical fitness centers on the occasion of Eid, during the period from May 25 to 29, with work officially resuming according to the usual official appointments and working hours, starting on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
