Dubai Municipality is intensifying its preparations for Eid Al Adha, from food safety to securing beach and garden activities

Dubai Municipality announced the completion of its preparations to receive the Eid Al-Adha holiday, through integrated operational and supervisory plans aimed at enhancing public health and safety, ensuring food safety, and raising the readiness of facilities and services throughout the emirate, which contributes to providing a safe and healthy atmosphere that enhances the quality of life and well-being of residents and visitors during the Eid period.

The plans include intensifying monitoring and inspection campaigns on establishments and activities that witness increased demand during Eid, in addition to enhancing the readiness of parks, public beaches and recreational facilities to receive visitors, within an integrated system that focuses on the safety of the community and the comfort of customers.

In the field of food safety, Dubai Municipality has intensified its field inspection visits to food establishments and event sites in the emirate, including major shopping malls, temporary kiosks, and entertainment facilities, in addition to monitoring popular foods, with a focus on preparation processes, thermal preservation, and means of transportation, to ensure the safety of food provided to the public during Eid.

The municipality also strengthened its inspection campaigns on butcheries, roasters, chocolate shops, and central markets, including the fruit and vegetable market and the waterfront market, in addition to providing direct communication channels to receive reports and observations related to food safety through the Dubai 24/7 application and the 800900 call center.

Within the framework of monitoring imported food, the municipality confirmed the readiness of inspection teams by 100% around the clock at all land, sea and air ports of the emirate, while implementing a risk assessment system that identifies priority shipments for examination and inspection.

During the first quarter of 2026, the municipality inspected approximately 81,000 food shipments that included more than 424,000 food items, with a total of about 2.7 million tons of imported food.

With the high demand for meat during the Eid al-Adha season, the municipality has tightened its control over shipments of meat and its products, with 100% of them subject to inspection and verification of halal slaughter certificates and cold chain integrity. During the first quarter of this year, it also inspected about 8,000 shipments of meat and meat products, including more than 30,000 products, with a quantity of approximately 66,000 tons.

The municipality continues its awareness efforts during the Eid period by disseminating health guidelines and advice related to the safe handling of meat and food and proper preparation and storage methods, in addition to raising awareness about the use of vehicles designated for transporting sacrifices and meat, which are subject to approved regulatory requirements and standards to ensure the safety of products during transportation.

In terms of public health and safety, Dubai Municipality has intensified its monitoring campaigns on hotel establishments, barber and beauty salons, and shisha cafes, to ensure compliance with approved health and environmental requirements, including water and indoor air quality, cleanliness levels, and the safety of swimming pools and tools used.

The municipality is also implementing an expanded monitoring campaign on henna samples used in women’s salons, by examining them in accredited laboratories to ensure that they are free of harmful substances or ingredients that may cause allergies or skin irritation, in addition to monitoring adherence to sound health practices during preparation and presentation.

Within the framework of enhancing public and professional safety, inspection teams will continue to implement specialized campaigns on gaming and event areas, shopping malls, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects and residential buildings, with a focus on safety systems, air quality, the safety of elevators, swimming pools, and electrical and mechanical equipment, in addition to ensuring the readiness of operating and emergency response teams in locations that witness a large number of visitors during the Eid period.

The municipality has also strengthened its control over seasonal consumer products, including children’s toys, cosmetics, perfumes, and electrical appliances, to ensure that they comply with approved specifications and do not contain any substances that may affect the health and safety of consumers, in addition to monitoring the compliance of sales outlets with regulations on the circulation of tobacco and its derivatives.

With regard to labor housing, the municipality carries out monitoring tours and field follow-up on three community labor markets in Al Muhaisnah II, Al Quoz Fourth, and Al Quoz Industrial III, which attract daily between 24 and 30 thousand workers during official holidays, in addition to supervising entertainment events designated for workers, whose attendance is expected to reach about 20 thousand workers, which contributes to providing a safe social and entertainment atmosphere during the holiday.

Specialized teams that include: More than 80 inspectors and technical cadres carry out inspection campaigns and tours, as the campaigns target more than 300 facilities, including: Hotels, barber and beauty salons, and shisha cafes, in addition to industrial facilities, shopping malls, gaming areas, events, and local markets.

In a related context, Dubai Municipality announced the readiness of the livestock market and all its facilities to receive the Eid Al Adha season, by providing integrated regulatory and supervisory services that ensure the smooth flow of operations, the safety of the sacrifices, and the comfort of customers, in addition to enhancing hygiene and public health procedures and raising the readiness of the specialized teams to deal with the expected increase in the number of visitors during the season.

Events and entertainment activities in Dubai parks
In terms of entertainment programs, Dubai Municipality invited residents and visitors to enjoy the Eid atmosphere in its public parks, beaches and recreational facilities, which are equipped to receive families and visitors within a safe and integrated environment.

Dubai Municipality has extended the working hours of parks and recreational facilities to provide more events and activities that allow visitors to enjoy the Eid atmosphere during the holiday, as the times will be as follows: the Qur’anic Park from 8:00 am until midnight, the Dubai Frame from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm, and Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar, Al Safa, Al Khor, and Mushrif National from 8:00 am until midnight.

Dubai Municipality also announced the allocation of public beaches in the emirate to be exclusively for families during the Eid holiday, based on its keenness for families to enjoy a distinctive and unique Eid atmosphere on Dubai’s beaches according to advanced levels of luxury, where visitors can celebrate at: Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2 and its night beach, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1 and its night beach, Umm Suqeim 2, and Khor Al Mamzar Beach, as these beaches provide relaxation. During the day and lively evening experiences.

Dubai Public Parks is organizing the “Eid Ice Cream” event during the first and second days of Eid, where ice cream will be distributed free of charge to visitors from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., in a number of parks including Al Barsha Pond Park, community parks, Mushrif Park, Zabeel, Al Khor, and Al Safa.
Dubai Frame will also host live music performances during the first and second days of Eid from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., to provide a distinctive festive experience that combines music, a family atmosphere, and panoramic views of the city. In addition, Hatta Souq will host the Harbiye Band during the second day of Eid from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, to present a range of traditional performances.

Children’s City continues its entertainment programs during the first three days of Eid, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, through a group of theatrical performances, interactive activities and creative workshops, in addition to meetings with cartoon characters and entertainment shows dedicated to children and families, in an atmosphere that combines entertainment, education and celebration of the spirit of Eid.
