Kevin Warsh is sworn in as Chairman of the US Federal Reserve, succeeding Jerome Powell

Today, Friday, Kevin Warsh was sworn in as Chairman of the Federal Reserve (the US central bank), succeeding Jerome Powell, while US President Donald Trump said that he wants Warsh to be “completely independent” in his new position.

Trump added during Warsh’s swearing-in ceremony at the White House, “Don’t look at me, and don’t look at anyone else. Just do your job and make it great.”
