Abdullah bin Zayed meets Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Xavier Betille, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as part of a working visit by His Highness to Luxembourg.
His Highness and Beitel witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries regarding mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
The agreement was signed by Minister of State Lana Zaki Nusseibeh and Luxembourg Minister of Justice Elisabeth Marge.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields.
The meeting also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the situation in the region.
The two ministers discussed the repercussions of the treacherous Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilian sites and facilities in the UAE using missiles and drones, in addition to their dangerous repercussions on the security of international maritime navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.
The discussions touched on the treacherous terrorist attacks carried out by drones coming from Iraqi territory, one of which, last Sunday, targeted the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant and hit an electric generator outside the inner perimeter of the plant.
Bettel expressed the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg’s solidarity with the UAE and its condemnation of these treacherous terrorist attacks, while His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks and appreciation for Luxembourg’s position in support of the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajri, and the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Duchy of Luxembourg and the European Union, Mohammed Ismail Al-Sahlawi.
