Dubai Police returns a bag containing silver bullion worth two million dirhams to an Asian traveler

The General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Police was able to return a handbag containing silver bullion valued at approximately two million dirhams to an Asian traveler, after intense efforts by the work team in Airport Terminal 1.
Colonel Abdullah Faisal Al-Dosari, Director of the Security Department of Airport Terminal 1, explained that the foot patrol officer, while carrying out a regular security survey in the departures hall, received a report from an Asian traveler stating that he had lost a black handbag before boarding the plane.
Colonel Al-Dosari added that upon receiving the report, the operations room took the necessary measures, reviewed the traveler’s itinerary, and also formed a working team from the foot patrol to search and investigate the bag in various areas of the airport.
He pointed out that the work team was able to find the bag, and after opening it and verifying its contents, it was found that it contained silver bullion valued at about two million dirhams. Confirming that after verifying the documents regarding the ownership of the contents of the bag, it was delivered to its owner in accordance with the established legal procedures, with an official receipt issued.
The traveler expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Dubai Police, appreciating the speed of response and the efforts made by the work teams at the General Administration of Airport Security, and their keenness to return lost items to their owners in all professionalism.
